Buffalo Center for Arts and Technology (BCAT) is currently seeking a full-time Director of Adult Workforce Programs to administer and direct our Adult Workforce department and its related activities. BCAT‘s mission is to provide opportunities for careers through workforce development programs for adults, and arts and technology afterschool programs for high school youth. This is an on-site position; minimum 40 hours/week with core hours Monday through Friday 10:30 am-6:30 pm. Our adult classes are all approved by NYSEd and cost-free to participants.

A successful candidate will have excellent leadership and project management skills and be passionate about establishing consistent, supportive and productive relationships with adult students, other community organizations, and the public. The Director will supervise and develop the talent of program staff and instructors, manage contractors and maintain oversight to ensure program compliance and growth.

BCAT‘s mission is to provide opportunities for careers through workforce development programs for adults and arts and technology afterschool programs for high school youth. This is an on-site position; minimum 40 hours/week with core hours Monday through Friday 9am-5 pm. Some evenings and weekends will be required.

A successful candidate will be passionate about BCAT’s mission and about finding ways to keep a great organization funded and growing; have knowledge and experience in fundraising, grant writing, and leading an organization-wide development strategy that includes marketing and communications, building donor relations, implementing annual giving and securing sponsorships.

Buffalo Center for Arts and Technology (BCAT) is currently seeking a full-time Manager of Adult Workforce Programs to provide administrative management for our Adult Workforce department and its related activities. BCAT‘s mission is to provide opportunities for careers through workforce development programs for adults and arts and technology afterschool programs for high school youth. This is an on-site position; 40 hours/week with core hours Monday through Friday 9am-5 pm.

A successful candidate will have demonstrated project management skills and excellent organizational, computer and database skills. The Manager will work effectively with and support a diverse student base while providing a welcoming and efficient experience for incoming students. The Manager will proactively promote, develop, implement and facilitate meeting program goals and outcomes and build community partnerships that lead to careers for adult students.

Buffalo Center for Arts and Technology (BCAT) is currently seeking an Adult Workforce Case Manager to build trusting, therapeutic relationships with adult participants enrolled in various adult workforce programs offered.  BCAT‘s mission is to provide opportunities for careers through workforce development programs for adults and arts and technology afterschool programs for high school youth. This is an on-site position; part or full-time considered with flexible hours Monday through Friday between 10:30am and 7:30pm with few but occasional evenings/weekends.

A successful candidate will collaborate with our team and ensure that our adult students retain in the program and achieve successful employment after graduation  Our ideal candidate possesses the ability to provide short term mental health and employment counseling, work closely with our team to identify additional resources to meet student needs, and manage adult crises pertaining to mental health challenges.  

Buffalo Center for Arts and Technology (BCAT) is currently seeking a part-time IT Instructor to deliver the Comptia A+ curriculum (approved by NYSED). The Instructor will present well-prepared, organized, and clear lectures and classroom activities for this IT class. BCAT‘s mission is to provide opportunities for careers through workforce development programs for adults and arts and technology afterschool programs for high school youth.

Comptia A+ is a 12 week program taught on-site twice annually Monday Thursday from 5:30pm-8:30pm to a maximum of 15 adult students. A successful candidate will ensure students’ successful completion of the course, including passing the certification exam. The Instructor will develop students’ effective use of critical and analytical thinking skills, and have the ability to transfer information positively, clearly, and concisely to a diverse group of adult learners.
