Our IT Pathway program prepares students for entry level IT jobs in the fields of Technical Support, Networking and Security. In our pathway program, students can choose their learning pathway and can earn up to four CompTIA certifications that will prepare them and make them competitive to enter the IT field.

Adult learners graduating from BCAT’s IT Fundamental course will be introduced to basic IT knowledge and skills that will help them decide if a career in IT is right. Designed for prospective students with LITTLE to No experience in the IT field, the course focuses on the knowledge and skills required to identify and explain the basics of computing, IT infrastructure, application and software, software development, database fundamentals and security. At the end of the course students will sit for CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+) certification exam.
Adult learners graduating from BCAT’s IT Technical Support program are ready for entry-level careers in the information technology field in Buffalo. The CompTIA certificate aligns with employment as a help desk, support, service center, or networking technician. The course and certification exam covers PC and laptop hardware, software installation, the configuration of computer and mobile operating systems, basic networking, troubleshooting, and security skills.
